We would like to introduce you to ourselves and to a program that may be of interest and help to you. The program is called Celebrate Recovery we meet Friday nights at 6:00 at The Bridge Richland 1916 Jadwin Ave. in Richland. Celebrate Recovery was started at The Bridge January 8th 2010 with the goal of overcoming life’s issues with a twelve-step program based on Christian principles. This recovery program addresses all types of habits, hurts and hang-ups. The purpose is to focus on God’s healing power through fellowship with others and by working the 12 Steps and the 8 Beatitude Principles.Although Celebrate Recovery meetings are similar to those of other twelve-step programs, one difference is in we focus on Christianity. The program stresses that there is no other Higher Power except for Jesus, as opposed to groups like Alcoholics Anonymous which encourage members to choose their own concept of a Higher Power. Another difference is that Celebrate Recovery does not require one to conform to a singleness of purpose declaration, a member does not have to qualify oneself as an alcoholic, addict, or gambler—there are no requirements for attendance and Celebrate Recovery is able to help with a multitude of life’s Hurts, Habits, and Hang-ups.A few other things that may make Celebrate Recovery a viable option for you is that our open share groups are divided down sexual lines. We currently have two women’s and one men’s group. We do provide child care for those attending Celebrate Recovery, and we also provide meals as we know those in Recovery are often hungry both spiritually and physically.Come join us for fellowship, relationship and healing every Friday night at 6:00 pm.
